On an autumn night in October 1981, music filled the rooms of the Angler’s Rest pub in Chapelizod. Friends gathered, drinks were poured, and the atmosphere was lively.

It was meant to be a celebration.

But before the night was over, something happened inside the pub that would leave one young man dead and a community struggling to understand how such a thing could occur.
